Apple has unveiled a new Apple Vision Pro - M5 chip-based. This new mixed reality headset is faster, provides improved visuals, smarter AI and longer battery life. It comes with a new Dual Knit Band for enhanced wear comfort and balance. On visionOS 26, the new Vision Pro brings interactive spaces, immersive media experiences and enhanced Apple Intelligence.

Design: Dual Knit Band for Better Comfort

New for 2019, the Dual Knit Band has been redesigned as a two-strap system with a 3D-knitted upper and lower section. The lower strap also has tungsten inserts for a balanced weight, and the Fit Dial enables you to fine-tune your rig to perfection. It comes in 3 sizes and is still compatible with the older Vision Pro.

Specifications: M5 Power and Sharper Display

Apple's M5 chip, developed using 3nm technology, powers the new Vision Pro. Equipped with 10-core CPU and GPU processing units for better graphics with lifelike lighting effects like shadows and reflections in games, as well as 10% more pixels to provide sharper visuals and faster motion up to 120 Hz refresh rates!

A dedicated R1 chip processes data from 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones in real time while refreshing visuals at a rate of 12 milliseconds for incredibly low latency. Battery life has been raised, too — up to 2.5 hours of general use or 3 hours of video playback on a single charge.

AI and visionOS 26 Features

Neural Engine with 16-core You can now perform the most advanced on-device AI tasks. It's capable of creating 3D Personas, turning 2D photos into spatial scenes and working through AI-powered productivity workflows. Developers can tap Apple’s Foundation Models to build AI-based apps, such as JigSpace, which produces 3D visualisations for complex data.

The headset runs on visionOS 26 and supports immersive 180° and 360° content such as NBA games and movies from BBC, HYBE and Red Bull, as well as fan favourites Sniper Elite 4 and Where Winds Meet, as well as motion-tracking PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers.

Price and Availability

Apple Vision Pro with the M5 chip costs $3,499 in Israel (roughly ₹3,08,000). Other variants are also available, including 512GB and 1TB models. Pre-orders for iPhone 12 will begin in various countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Japan, UAE etc on October 22. China and Singapore will launch pre-orders first, followed by South Korea and Taiwan shortly afterwards.
