Ideas for next search
On a supported website, once the user taps on the address bar in Chrome, more relevant searches will appear (in the "Related to this page" section) that can act as your next search for additional information from the web. The example included in the blog is of tourist destinations and restaurants once the users search about Japan in the address bar. This is available on both Android and iOS.
Trending searches right from the search bar
A user can now scan through the trending searches by tapping the search bar. Open a new tab and tap the address bar to see a list of trending search results. This feature is available on Android and will reach iOS "later this year".
Related searches via Touch to Search
While Touch to Search was available on Android for quite some time, this will help users explore related searches now. Once the feature is enabled, a list of related queries will pop up at the bottom after the user selects a term on a webpage.
More suggestions when you search
From the traditional six dynamic suggestions that appear while typing in a search bar, the number will now increase to 10. A user can scroll down to skim across all the search suggestions. This feature is available on Android and iOS.
As for more updates, the tech giant recently announced a bunch of new features for iOS users. You can read more about this here.
