Free Fire Unban Date: Garena Free Fire is set to relaunch In India after over a year. The title was banned in several markets in South Asia due to national security issues. The gaming title will act as the biggest competition to Krafton's Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), which recently completed three months after the initial relaunch.

According to a TechCrunch report, the company has joined hands with local firm Yotta for data storage on the cloud and other user needs in India. Further, India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been appointed as the brand ambassador of the game in the country.

The firm is set to bring local elements into the game via "unique content" and work towards ensuring a "safe, healthy and fun" ambience for users. To further this endeavour, the company will urge users to take breaks at regular intervals.

Right before the ban, the game enjoyed an active user base of over 40 million in India. "We look forward to providing an engaging and highly localised experience for Indian users," TC cited Gang Ye, Co-founder of Garena, as saying.

Garena Free Fire: When Can You Download?

Users can head to the Google Play Store to pre-register for the game. The title will be available for download from September 5.
