Google's Gmail, a popular communication service, has introduced a new feature to let users batch-select messages in a threadlist using the "Select all" option. The platform is popular across the globe for its intuitive UI and feature set, which Google upgrades regularly. According to the tech giant, the feature is rolling out on Android and iOS (Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains) devices.
According to the search leader, this feature allows people to bulk-select messages within a threadlist. However, this new checkbox lets users select the first 50 messages within the conversation list. You can only select all messages after scrolling to the bottom and pressing the "Select all" checkbox.
Once these messages are selected you can unselect, delete, mark as read or perform other actions. The functions include "snooze, change labels, add star, mark as important, mute or report spam." It is available to all users with Workspace and personal accounts. To use the feature, update the Gmail app on your smartphone from the official app stores. Select an email, and now press the "Select all" button to select the first 50 messages.

You can also "modify text formatting using the contextual toolbar in Sheets" if a keyboard is connected to an Apple iPad. It is available for all personal and Workspace accounts.
Thirdly, a new category - "Admin managed apps" in the Workspace Marketplace was also announced by Google. A Google Workspace administrator can install these Enterprise apps to try out the feature. It is available for Workspace accounts. Meanwhile, the company recently announced that it will begin deleting inactive Gmail accounts from December 1. For more details, you can read this report.
