YouTube, Google’s video sharing platform, has announced intentions to improve the podcast experience on YouTube Music. The firm stated that it intends to make Podcasts on YouTube Music available globally by the end of 2023. Google Podcasts will be phased out as part of this strategy shift in 2024.

YouTube announced in a blog post on Tuesday, "As part of this process, we'll be assisting Google Podcasts users in transitioning to Podcasts in YouTube Music." The firm plans to smooth the transfer from Google Podcasts to YouTube Music in the coming weeks by gathering user input and improving the transition tools. These tools will be published once they are complete, along with detailed instructions on how to use them.
