Instagram, a photo-sharing application, is used across the globe for its feature-rich interface and expansive user base. And to upscale the user experience, the company introduces new features regularly. Continuing this series, the Meta-owned app announced four new features that shall arrive on the platform soon.

FoneArena outlined these features in a report. According to the tech blog site, these features were unveiled at a session in Gurgaon. From Birthday to Selfie Video Notes, here are all the features the company will roll out in the future.

Birthday Feature

To make birthday celebrations exciting on the app, Instagram showcased a 'Birthday' feature. With the feature, Instagram users can share an update of this day with their followers and friends to encourage celebrations via stickers and confetti and make the occasion memorable.

Selfie Video And Audio Notes

Similar to Direct Messages (DM), Notes have been a popular communication tool on the app. "Notes has become a favourite among young people, to easily share updates with each other. It's one of the top ways teens communicate with their friends, right up there with DMs," Meta stated, according to IANS.

To further enhance this experience, the social media giant announced Audio and Selfie Video Notes. As the name suggests, Audio Notes allows users to leave audio recordings as Notes. On the other hand, the Selfie Video Notes feature shall allow users to shoot videos within Notes. The visibility of these lopping clips shall be restricted to 24 hours. It will help add a dynamic angle to communication.

Multiple Lists For Stories

The new features will allow users to create several lists that may expand beyond Close Friends. Plus, the option to segregate friends into groups will be available for more control over viewers who view your Stories. Instagram added that it will start testing these features soon and then release them for users gradually.
