Apple has officially released iOS 17 for eligible iPhones, which includes a bunch of new great features that are reportedly draining the batteries on some older iPhones. The update was released only three days ago, and users are reporting the problem on social media platforms such as Reddit and X. According to reports, it could be due to the installation of too many services such as calls, messages, FaceTime, AirDrop, and others.

According to Apple Insider, it is expected that Apple iPhones would require at least a week to adjust to the new upgrade, configurations, and capabilities. Furthermore, the insider speculated that it could be due to Spotlight reindexing, implying that not only would all applications slow down, but it would also impact battery life. It is true that iOS users have battery troubles after practically every iOS upgrade, but this is a temporary issue that will be remedied.
