APPLE will be announcing the next iteration of iPhones this year. Due to the brewing excitement, the upcoming 15 series have appeared in numerous leaks. In that series, tipster Ice Universe revealed that the iPhone 15 Pro Max could debut with the upgraded IMX903 sensor. The primary lens will have a larger footprint compared to the iPhone 14 Pro.

Upgraded Cameras

According to the tipster, the iPhone 14 Pro currently packs a 48MP IMX803 sensor. While the megapixel count is tipped to remain the same, the size could be slightly less than 1 inch. The main sensor could measure 1/1.14 inch compared to its predecessor's 1/1.28. Apple switched to 48 megapixels with the iPhone 14 series. Plus, the tipster highlighted the iPhone 13 Pro came with a 12MP IMX703 primary sensor.

As per Wccftech, the upgraded dimension implies it could have a more prominent camera module from the last year. Further, larger sensors allow more light to penetrate inside the sensor for better low-light performance. The report adds a periscope sensor could help bring more advanced zoom capabilities to the upcoming iPhones. It should be noted that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra would still have a larger sensor compared to the tipped 15 Pro Max, it notes.

Action Button Leaks

Moving to buttons, "The volume up + power button will no longer be used to power off the device, or 'force-restart' it," Twitter user @analyst941 claims. This could be because the new action button could replace the volume button's heavy lifting. Plus, it may also prove useful in the camera UI. This pressure-sensitive button could help perform several functions such as auto-focus, clicking photos and shooting videos, as per the thread.

Other Details

Speaking of other leaks, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max could come with the thinnest bezels on an iPhone ever. A USB Type-C port may finally make an appearance on all the upcoming handsets. Finally, with all the tipped specifications, the phones would be pricier when compared neck-to-neck with the 14 series.
