Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series next month with upgraded specifications. Next year, the company may introduce the much-anticipated iPhone SE, which awaits an upgrade since 2022. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the upgrade for the model could arrive next year.

According to Gurman's 'Power On' newsletter, the iPhone SE 2025 could offer meaningful upgrades over its predecessor. It may sport an iPhone 14-like design, which could imply a notch on the front. The handset is tipped to sport a "crisper" edge-to-edge OLED screen. The journalist also noted the model will likely be eligible for Apple Intelligence.

As for the pricing, Gurman speculated the iPhone SE 4 could be a hit if available for around $500. For context, even the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are not eligible for Apple Intelligence features. This availability of AI features could allow the iPhone SE to join the league of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 16 series in terms of Apple Intelligence.

According to MacRumors, the upcoming iPhone SE could sport a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate a notch housing the front and sensors for Face ID. As for the design, the handset is expected to sport a flat aluminium frame and a single camera module on the rear. It may sport a 48MP primary lens. iPhone SE 4 may house a 3,279mAh battery and a USB-C port.

As per Ice Universe, the handset could sport an A18 Bionic chipset and 6GB or 8GB RAM. Coming to launch speculations, the iPhone SE could arrive in early 2025, around March or May, according to the tipster.
