JioHotstar Freemium And Subscription Prices

IPL 2026 isn’t being streamed fully free this time around. The platform has moved to a hybrid model on JioHotstar, mixing free access with paid viewing.

You can still jump into a live match without paying, but only for a short initial window. To continue watching the full game, a subscription becomes necessary. The entry-level plan is priced at Rs 79 per month for mobile viewing, while a Rs 149 Super plan lets you stream on two devices.

Telecom Plans With JioHotstar

That said, there’s an indirect way to avoid paying separately. Some telecom recharge plans now come bundled with JioHotstar Premium, making it easier to access full matches if you’re already recharging your connection.

Reliance Jio Plans

With Reliance Jio, JioHotstar access comes built into several prepaid packs, making it one of the most direct options.

₹349 Plan

This plan offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calls, and access to unlimited 5G. It also includes a 3-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription, although the plan itself is valid for 28 days.

₹449 Plan

This plan, just like the previous ₹349 plan, offers 2GB of data on a daily basis, unlimited 5G, and a 3-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription with a validity of 28 days.

₹949 Plan

For those who wish to use their data for a longer period, this plan offers 84 days of validity with 2GB of data on a daily basis, unlimited 5G, and a 3-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription.

₹3,999 Plan

This is the annual option, which includes 2.5GB daily data, unlimited 5G data, and the full JioHotstar Mobile subscription.

Data Add-ons

If you are already using a base plan, the add-ons, which are priced at ₹100 (5GB data) and ₹195 (15GB data), are also available with the JioHotstar subscription.

Airtel Plans

Bharti Airtel offers JioHotstar with its prepaid plans, which are priced according to the data and validity.

₹449 Plan

This plan offers 4 GB of data per day, unlimited 5G, and includes 28 days of JioHotstar mobile access.

₹549 Plan

₹101 Data Voucher

This add-on provides 5GB of data and a 3-month JioHotstar subscription, but it requires an active base plan.

₹399 Plan

Offers 2GB per day, unlimited data during select hours, and 1 month of JioHotstar Mobile with 28-day validity.

₹469 Plan

This increases daily data to 2.5GB and includes a 3-month JioHotstar Mobile subscription within a 28-day validity.

₹3,699 Plan

The annual plan includes 2GB per day along with a full 1-year JioHotstar Mobile subscription.

A few things to keep in mind: if you are planning to stream the IPL in 4K (Ultra HD), that can actually utilise up to 10-12 GB of data; that could be a significant stretch if you are not on an unlimited 5G plan. Even 1080p streaming can consume 2-3 GB of data. So if unlimited 5G is not there, it is recommended that users use JioHotstar on "Data Saver" mode or "Medium" so that data lasts till the end. So go ahead and browse the plan that fits your needs and enjoy the ongoing IPL.
