iQOO appears to be working on the next phone in its T series. A new leak claims the iQOO 16T is already being tested, with the company reportedly looking at a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip and a 200-megapixel main camera.
The information comes from tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, so it’s still early and none of these details have been confirmed by iQOO.
According to the leak, iQOO is testing the phone with a cooling system that combines liquid and air cooling. The 16T is also expected to keep the 200-megapixel primary camera used on its predecessor, although it may not get a dedicated periscope telephoto camera.

Smart Pikachu added in the comments that the main camera could use a 1/1.28-inch sensor. The iQOO 15T, for comparison, has a 200-megapixel main camera alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. It also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
The processor could be another major change. An earlier leak claimed that iQOO is testing the 16T with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, also referred to as the SM8950. MediaTek's Dimensity 9600 is reportedly being considered as another option.
There has also been talk of an integrated cooling fan, although that detail hasn't been confirmed either.
The iQOO 15T launched in China in May at CNY 4,099, which was around Rs. 58,000 at the time, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It has a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, and runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

The phone is powered by the Dimensity 9500 Monster Edition and comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It also has an 8,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging.
For now, that's about all the leak tells us about the iQOO 16T. The phone is still reportedly in testing, so the camera, processor and cooling setup could all change before iQOO makes anything official.
