JE Technology Desk: Nothing CEO Carl Pei tweeted a photo of a transparent USB Type-C cable on the micro-blogging platform Twitter today. This charging cable will probably ship with the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) smartphone, which will debut on July 11 in India on Flipkart. The accessory will be an aesthetic shift from the typical white cables that generally ship with smartphones.

In the picture shared by Carl, the charging cable is visible with the typical 'Nothing' text in the company's signature font on the silver-colour metal chassis inside the transparent connector housing. There is a set of six connectors lined up horizontally. We do not know the purpose of them at the moment.

However, we can wildly speculate that it might be an LED indicator that lights up while charging, similar to what we see in wireless chargers and cases of TWS earphones. As for other transparent accessories in the box, Nothing Phone (1) came with a translucent SIM ejector tool, which was lauded by the tech industry for attention to detail.

Nothing Phone (2) Specifications (Expected)

The smartphone from the London-based company will boast a 6.7-inch screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. For performance, the Phone (2) will ship with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. It is tipped to come in three storage variants: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB, according to 91Mobiles.

It may run on Android 13 on top of Nothing OS 2.0. Owing to the company's commitment towards delivering a premium software experience, the handset will receive three OS and four years of security updates. It will sport a 4,700mAh battery to power the internal components. Moving to the optics, the mobile may have a 50MP primary OIS lens on the back and a 16MP selfie shooter. Like its predecessor, we can expect an on-screen fingerprint reader.

Nothing Phone (2) Price (Expectations)

Considering the leaks, it will be safe to assume that the smartphone will be priced in the sub-Rs 40,000 price category. Do note there is no official word from the company on the pricing.
