Nothing Phone 2a New Edition: Nothing, a London-based smartphone maker, announced the Nothing Phone (2a) in March 2024. Soon after introducing the handset in White and Black, the company could be gearing up to add a new colour. The 'new edition' of the smartphone has been teased on Flipkart with an announcement scheduled for April 29, 2024.
Based on the poster on the site, it seems the company could introduce a new blue colourway for the device which may be an India-centric offering. The teaser image does not reveal any cues about the exact shade or real-life design of the phone. However, the back will likely look similar to the regular Phone (2a).
Meanwhile, hints of a Nothing Phone with 'PacManPro' codename of the Phone (2a) family surfaced recently. Android Headlines speculated it could be the Phone (2a)+ or Phone (2a) Pro. Or the handset could be the Community Edition version. It could launch later this year after the Community Edition contest comes to an end. A tipster on X (formerly called Twitter) shared the possible first look of the device.

For the unaware, the company is already running the project to allow Nothing fans to make a custom Phone (2a) that will be announced later. The company has already revealed the winners of the first 'Hardware Design' stage. Out of the 400 entries, The 'Phosphorescence' concept of Kenta and Astrid, who run an architectural company, won this stage.
"Using green-tinted phosphorescent material finishes, elements of the back of the phone emit a soft glow in the dark. This feature is purely analogue, requiring no power source," Nothing said. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone (2a) carries a starting price of Rs 23,999. It competes with the OnePlus Nord CE 4, POCO X6 Pro, Realme 12 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro, Motorola Edge 40 Neo, Samsung Galaxy F55 and more phones.
