OnePlus 15R: If you loved the OnePlus 13R for its solid performance at a not-so-flagship price, you might want to keep an eye on its likely successor. Word is, OnePlus is already prepping the next “R” series device—and we may have just gotten our first look at what it’ll bring to the table.

A new leak from noted tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed some core specs of the OnePlus Ace 6, which is expected to launch in China first. For global markets, this could arrive as the OnePlus 15R. And yes, it looks like OnePlus will skip “14R” altogether—presumably to stay in sync with the main OnePlus 13 > 14 > 15 flagship lineup.

So, what’s in store? If the leak holds up, the OnePlus 15R could come equipped with a flat 1.5K OLED display boasting a super-smooth 165 Hz refresh rate. That’s the kind of panel you’d want for fast-paced gaming or high-quality media viewing. Under the hood, you’ll reportedly find the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip—yet another indicator that this phone will punch well above its price class when it comes to raw performance.

There may also be a bump in biometric tech, with an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor possibly replacing the usual optical one. That would mark a nice upgrade for day-to-day security and unlock speed.

Camera-wise, things could stay relatively familiar. The leak mentions a triple-lens setup with main, ultrawide, and telephoto sensors. Interestingly, the Ace 5 lineup in China skipped the telephoto, while the OnePlus 13R outside China had a handy 2x zoom lens. So we might once again see different setups between regional variants.

One of the most eye-catching claims, though, is about the battery. A massive 7000 mAh+ cell is rumoured, which would put it far ahead of most mainstream phones today in terms of battery life. And on the durability side, there’s talk of a tougher IP68/IP69-rated body and a more rugged metal frame.

But that’s not all OnePlus fans have to look forward to. Reports also mention a new “Turbo” series in the works. These upcoming phones could debut with the Snapdragon 8s Elite or the newer Snapdragon 8 Plus chip—a “sub-flagship” platform that’s said to deliver near-flagship-level performance at a lower cost.

Whether it’s the OnePlus 15R or this new Turbo line, one thing’s clear: OnePlus is doubling down on power-packed phones that won’t drain your wallet.
