Vivo X Fold 5: Vivo has officially launched its premium foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold 5, in India, and it’s now available for purchase. Priced at ₹149,999, the phone comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in a single Titanium Grey variant. You can grab it via Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo’s official store, or at select retail outlets across the country.

The X Fold 5 is Vivo’s most ambitious foldable to date, designed to compete directly in India’s high-end foldables market. It features an 8.03-inch 2K+ inner display and a 6.53-inch FHD+ cover screen—both using LTPO panels with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4,500 nits.

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring fast performance across tasks. But what really stands out is its 6,000 mAh battery, which uses advanced fourth-gen silicon negative electrode tech. Vivo says it performs reliably even in extreme cold—down to -30°C—thanks to semi-solid-state battery components. The battery also supports 80W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.

For photography, Vivo is sticking with its ZEISS partnership. The phone packs a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. Both the inner and outer displays also house 20MP selfie cameras.

Vivo’s also gone the extra mile with the build quality. The carbon fibre hinge is rated for up to 600,000 folds, and the phone has a wide range of water and dust resistance certifications: IPX8, IPX9, IPX9+, and IP5X.

To sweeten the deal, Vivo is offering no-cost EMI options starting at ₹6,250/month for 24 months, 10% cashback with select bank cards, an exchange bonus under its V-Upgrade program, a free 1-year extended warranty, and a chance to buy the TWS 3e earbuds for just ₹1,499.

With a focus on premium design, robust internals, and a future-ready feature set, the Vivo X Fold 5 looks like a serious contender in India’s ultra-premium foldables segment.
