OnePlus' upcoming foldable has got the tech world ringing for a long time. And soon after a reliable tipster leaked the possible launch date of the upcoming device, it has now been tipped that the foldable could be available in India. But, the case could slightly differ compared to other countries.

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the highly-anticipated foldable from OnePlus will likely arrive in the country. But only "limited quantities" of the device may be up for sale. In a recent update, another reliable tipster Max Jambor posted on X (formerly called Twitter) that the company could introduce the upcoming device on October 19.

This leak is gradually gaining weight as noted media outlet TechCrunch, citing OnePlus CEO Robin Liu, reported that the smartphone maker will announce the upcoming foldable soon. This could mean the phone may lock horns with other book-style foldable offerings in the country, such as the Tecno Phantom V Fold and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 soon. Globally, it would have even more competition from OEMs like Google, Honor, Vivo and more.

OnePlus Open Expected Specifications

According to reports, the OnePlus Open could offer a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED 120Hz main and a 6.3-inch AMOLED 120Hz cover display. It could run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for performance. The smartphone may run on OnePlus' custom skin for foldable based on Android 13.

OnePlus Open could also sport a 4,800mAh battery with 100W charging. As for the optics, the phone may offer a 48MP primary, 48MP ultrawide and 64MP telephoto lens on the back. Flipping to the front, the handset could have a 32MP and 20MP selfie shooter.

Tipster Yogesh Brar claims the phone may arrive at a price tag of Rs 1.2 lakh. The lower price could lend the device an edge over the latest Galaxy Z Fold 5. You can read more on this here.
