Galaxy Unpacked 2026 22 July: Samsung has finally put a date on one of its biggest launches of the year. The company has confirmed that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 22, where it is expected to unveil its latest foldable smartphones, new Galaxy Watches and possibly even give us a glimpse of its first smart glasses.

While a new Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip were always expected, Samsung's latest teaser has sparked fresh excitement. The company has hinted at a foldable with a much wider design, suggesting that the long rumoured wider Fold could finally make its debut.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026: Date, Time and Where to Watch

Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in London on Wednesday, July 22. The keynote starts at 2pm BST, which is 6:30pm IST for viewers in India.

If you are planning to watch it live, Samsung will stream the event on its official website, Samsung Newsroom and YouTube channel. The company has also opened registrations for those who want to receive launch reminders, teasers and special launch offers before the event begins.

A Wider Foldable Could Be the Biggest Surprise

Samsung isn't revealing much yet, but its teasers are dropping plenty of hints.

The company says the next generation of Galaxy devices will combine smarter AI features with new form factors. That single line, along with the teaser showing a noticeably wider foldable silhouette, has convinced many that Samsung is finally ready to launch the wider Fold that has been making rounds in leaks for months.

If reports are accurate, Samsung could launch three foldable phones this year instead of the usual two. The expected lineup includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip 8.

There is also speculation that Samsung may shake up its branding. Some reports claim the regular Fold could be renamed the Ultra model, while the wider version could simply carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name. Nothing is official yet, but the company's teasers certainly suggest something different is coming.

Here's What the Leaks Say

Samsung has kept the specifications under wraps, but leaks have already given us a fair idea of what to expect.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is tipped to feature a 7.6 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display, a 5.5 inch cover screen and Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, meanwhile, could pack a 5,000mAh battery, support 45W wired charging and offer a display capable of reaching 3,600 nits of peak brightness.

Samsung has also confirmed that Galaxy AI will be a major focus at the event. The company says the new foldables will offer AI experiences designed specifically for larger screens, although it has stopped short of revealing any specific features.

New Galaxy Watches Are Also Expected

The launch event is expected to bring more than just foldable phones.

Samsung is widely expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. If recent reports are anything to go by, the Ultra model could arrive with a display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of brightness, an 800mAh battery and an IP69K rating for better protection against dust and water.

Smart Glasses Could Make an Appearance Too

Samsung may also use the event to talk about its future beyond smartphones.

The company has already confirmed that it is working with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster on smart glasses powered by Android XR. While a full launch is still uncertain, Galaxy Unpacked could be the perfect stage to offer an early look at the wearable.

With new foldables, upgraded Galaxy AI features, smartwatches and the possibility of Samsung's first smart glasses, this year's Galaxy Unpacked is shaping up to be one of the company's most important launch events in recent years.
