Motorola's Edge 70 lineup is about to get a new member. The company has started teasing the Motorola Edge 70 Max in India, with a dedicated Flipkart microsite confirming that the smartphone will be launching soon.

While Motorola has kept the launch date under wraps for now, the teaser has already revealed the phone's design and dropped a few hints about what buyers can expect.

Flipkart Teaser Gives The First Glimpse

The microsite itself doesn't mention the Edge 70 Max by name, but the URL leaves little doubt about which phone Motorola is preparing to launch.

From the teaser images, the Edge 70 Max looks quite different from the Edge 70 Pro and Edge 70 Pro+. Instead of the curved back seen on those models, this one appears to have a flat rear panel with a square camera module sitting in the top left corner. It also seems to feature a flat display, giving the phone a cleaner and more squared off design.

The renders show three rear cameras along with an LED flash. The power and volume buttons are placed on the right edge, while an extra button can be seen on the left. Motorola hasn't said what it's for, but it is widely expected to function as the Moto AI Key.

Motorola hints at AI improvements and wireless charging

Apart from teasing the design, Motorola has also shared a couple of feature highlights.

According to the company, the Edge 70 Max will deliver up to 46 percent better NPU performance for AI powered tasks. It will also support wireless charging, making it only the second phone in the current Edge 70 series to offer the feature after the Edge 70 Pro+.

Motorola is expected to reveal more features through the teaser campaign in the days leading up to the launch.

Leaks point to flagship grade hardware

Previous leaks have already given us an idea of what could be inside the phone.

The Motorola Edge 70 Max is tipped to arrive in Glacier Blue, Onyx Black and Sage Green colour options. It is also expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, unlike the Edge 70 Pro+, which uses a MediaTek chipset.

On the camera side, the phone is rumoured to feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a primary sensor, a telephoto lens and an ultrawide camera.

As of now, Motorola hasn't confirmed the launch date or detailed specifications. However, with the Flipkart teaser page now live, the official announcement is unlikely to be far away.
