Galaxy Z Fold 7: Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Z Flip 7 at next week's Galaxy Unpacked event. Although its official announcement is imminent, new hands-on images have appeared online, providing an early glimpse of the Galaxy Z Fold 7's design—and there are some important differences when compared to the previous version.

Hands-On Photos Reveal Galaxy Z Fold 7 Design

The leaked images are from tipster Jukan Choi (@Jukanlosreve), who uploaded them on social media on July 3. The photos are of the foldable from various sides—front, back, and side—and what catches attention immediately is its slim form factor and fresh colour finish, which is said to be referred to as Blue Shadow.

Though the general appearance is still recognisable, particularly the vertically arranged triple camera configuration at the back, there are nuanced updates. The cameras aren't housed within individual rings anymore, lending the rear a smoother, more cohesive look.

Significantly Thinner Than Galaxy Z Fold 6

One of the largest physical overhauls is the svelte profile. In reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 measures 8.9 mm thick in its folded state and an ultra-thin 4.2 mm when unfolded. To put this into perspective, the Fold 6 of last year was 12.1 mm thick folded and 5.6 mm thick when unfolded, so this year's device is much thinner and more pocketable.

One other important takeaway from the leak is the barely perceptible crease on the inside display, a huge step forward that would make interacting with the big foldable screen feel far smoother. The handset also looks like it opens fully flat, with no perceivable hinge drag. There's a SIM card slot exposed along the flank, indicating Samsung isn't ditching physical connectivity just yet.

Expected Specs and Configurations

Past rumours have suggested a premium build comprising an aluminium frame coupled with a glass ceramic rear panel. The 8-inch internal display is mentioned for the inner screen, while the 6.5-inch cover screen is expected—both taking the immersive feel Samsung foldables are renowned for.

Inside, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a custom-optimised flagship processor meant for best-in-class performance. The storage variants should include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with something to suit every kind of user.

Coming to colour options, besides Blue Shadow, customers might also have the option of Jet Black and Silver Shadow to pick from.

Pricing (Rumoured)

Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the prices, European market leaked listings indicate a beginning price of approximately EUR 2,227.71 (around Rs. 2,23,000) for the 256GB model, while the 512GB model might be priced at EUR 2,309.03 (around Rs. 2,31,100).
