One UI 8.5 Release Timeline
The One UI 8.5 is onits way and could make its official debut with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series as the reports from ETNews suggests. We can expect the company to release the first Beta version of the software late in November 2025, but its not confirmed as the officials have not announced the exact release date of the smartphone yet.
The update will first start to rollout for the Samsung’s flagship devices, including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7. We can expect the rollout to begin for other models continuing in the next year 2026 as Samsung finalise the testing optimisation for all its devices.

One UI 8.5 Features: What’s New
While One UI 8 brought only minor design and performance tweaks, One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be a far more substantial update — especially with the integration of new Galaxy AI features. Here’s a look at what’s expected:
1. Meeting Assist
This feature will provide live translation of both conversations and presentation screens during meetings. It’s designed to help professionals overcome language barriers and improve communication during global collaborations.
2. Touch Assistant
The new Touch Assistant aims to enhance on-screen reading and navigation. It will offer better accessibility and smoother interactions for users who rely heavily on touch gestures.
3. Social Composer
It can automatically generate the social media posts using your photos, product reviews, or purchase history. This feature will help users to save time and maintain the online presence.
4. Smart Clipboard
The Smart Clipboard will take productivity to the next level by automatically suggesting useful actions for copied text — such as summarising, translating, correcting, or searching the content instantly.
5. AI Notification Summary (Rumored)
Leaks suggest Samsung is also testing a notification summary feature, similar to Apple’s iOS version. This tool could summarise daily alerts and notifications using AI, allowing users to catch up on key information quickly.

Galaxy AI Expansion Worldwide
Currently, many of these features are exclusive to Samsung’s China lineup, where Galaxy AI tools are powered by Baidu’s Ernie AI due to regional restrictions on Google services. However, with the global rollout of One UI 8.5, Samsung is expected to switch to Google’s Gemini AI as the core engine powering these tools.
What to Expect
Samsung is yet to confirm the exact release date or the devices they will rollout the One UI 8.5. We can expect a good improvement in the AI-led experience. These features will offer smarter features, improved accessibility, and smooth integration with the Android 16 making the Samsung Galaxy devices even more intuitive and more productive.
If you are excited about the update and can’t wait you can look forward to the global and get enrolled for the Galaxy S25 series and more for Beta update if you own them.
