Telegram, a popular instant messaging platform, has introduced WhatsApp-like Stories feature for all its users. The new update brings a fresh perspective to the concept of Stories, as users will be able to edit their Stories even after they have been published.

Telegram users may now change many aspects of their narrative at any moment, including visibility, captions, on-screen text, stickers, and more, without having to erase and republish the content. Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and TikTok are all missing the feature.

"For the first time in the history of social media, you can update any element of your story at any time - changing its visibility, caption, on-screen text, stickers, or anything else - without having to delete and repost it from scratch," Telegram said.

Telegram, which boasts a worldwide user base of over 800 million, has also added a unique dual camera mode, extensive privacy settings, variable time options, and more.

"Stories are displayed in an expandable section at the top of your screen - so you can still see the full length of your chat list and folders," it added.

Users will by default find updates from all of their contacts on the home page. The program does allow users to send stories to archived chats and hide stories from particular friends.

The Stories feature lets users insert text, drawings, stickers, and location markers by utilising Telegram's powerful media editor. In addition, captions provide friend tagging, more detailed text descriptions, and link integration.

Users have four different privacy options when sharing a story: Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. The duration of stories can be set to 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Users can also choose to post their stories on their profiles, which creates a visually pleasing grid arrangement that displays their highlight reel as requested.
