JE Technology Desk: Twitter recently retired the iconic Blue Bird from its logo on the web in favour of the new 'X' symbol. And these changes did not stop here, as the company recently changed even the new logo. The new 'X' icon (shared by Musk on July 25) had thicker strokes than the last one. But, it was replaced with the earlier non-bold version soon after being changed, Musk announced.
Commenting on a tweet from DogeDesigner that claimed the logo was "bolder and edgy", the billionaire added that he did not like the "thicker bars" and reversed it later. Musk further added the "logo will evolve" in the coming days. You can compare the two versions by looking at them in the cover image. Considering the move, we can expect more similar changes to follow as the billionaire has promised more evolutions in the future.

Coming to the new X logo, the changes have already taken effect on the web versions of Twitter. But the Android and iOS app continues to ship with the old design language and the logo of Larry Bird. The correction looked similar to a photo shared by Sawyer Merritt in a tweet, who also shared the current 'X' logo when Musk showed interest to replace the existing Bird logo.
For context, this logo rebranding affair started when Musk tweeted on Sunday that "soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." This was followed by the announcement that "if a good enough X logo is posted tonight (July 23)," it will go live tomorrow Musk.

According to analysts quoted in a Bloomberg report, the move could lead to losses ranging anywhere between $4 billion (Rs 32,724 crore) to $20 billion (Rs 1.63 lakh crore) in the value of Twitter. With the move, Linda Yaccarino, CEO of Twitter, aims to transform the platform into an all-in-one solution for a user's digital needs with AI.
