JE Technology Desk: X, the highly-anticipated rebrand of Twitter's Larry Bird, has finally been revealed by Linda Yaccarino, CEO of Twitter. This update comes after owner Elon Musk shared that the "interim X logo" will go live today. Further, he has changed his profile picture to the new "X" logo and the affiliate badge (next to the verified checkmark) now says, "This account is affiliated with X."

Musk and Yaccarino shared a photograph of the headquarters with the new "X" label on Twitter headquarters. It is probably a light source output. The CEO also shared in the morning that the new X will be AI-powered. This transformation has no limits, and the platform can deliver everything, the Twitter boss said.

It all started when Musk tweeted on July 23, "And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds." Further, he tweeted, "If a good enough X logo is posted tonight, we'll make go live worldwide tomorrow."

Tweets will be called 'An X'

"Elon says that the Twitter bird logo will be blowtorched off the HQ building in San Francisco," @TitterDaily tweeted. Answering a user who asked, "Will Twitter be run off the x.com domain?" Musk said: "Of course." The domain is active and redirects a user to Twitter at the time of filing. A tweet will be called "An X" after the rebranding.

The links to profiles have started functioning with the x domain. Twitter's official accounts, including @verified, @TwitterWrite, @Subscriptions, @TwitterBlue, and @TwitterCreators, have been reworked to omit 'Twitter' from the name.

X: Not just text updates, but an All-in-one AI App

Twitter is all set to transform from a text-based social media app to an "audio, video, messaging, payments/banking" platform, Yaccarino added. The app will also work closely with xAI, Tesla CEO's latest AI initiative, to use AI in X. "We've already started to see X take shape over the past 8 months through our rapid feature launches, but we're just getting started." she said in a tweet.
