Vivo Y400 5G Pro India Launch: Vivo has officially launched the Y400 Pro 5G in India, positioning it as the slimmest smartphone in its segment to feature a 3D curved display. The phone comes packed with a 5,500 mAh battery, support for 90 W fast charging, and a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor. Under the hood, it’s powered by the 4 nm MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and paired with 8 GB of RAM.
Display and Design
One of the standout features of the Y400 Pro is its 6.77-inch full-HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4,500 nits peak brightness, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate, making it suitable for content consumption and gaming alike.
Vivo claims that the Nebula Purple variant is the slimmest in the segment, measuring 7.49 mm thick and weighing 182 g. The Fest Gold and Freestyle White variants are marginally thicker at 7.72mm and 7.74mm respectively.
Performance and Software
The phone runs on Android 15-based FuntouchOS 15 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC. It’s paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and offers up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, ensuring smooth performance across apps and multitasking.
Camera System
On the back, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G houses a dual-camera setup featuring a 50 MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, accompanied by a 2 MP secondary sensor. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture, and both front and rear shooters support 4K video recording.
AI Features and Connectivity
Vivo is pushing AI as a key feature of the Y400 Pro. It includes tools like AI Photo Enhance, AI Erase 2.0, and productivity features like AI Note Assist, AI Transcript Assist, AI Screen Translation, and AI Superlink. It also supports Google’s Circle to Search, giving users added utility for visual searches.
Connectivity options include dual nano SIM support, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also comes with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
Battery and Charging
Fuelling the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is a 5,500 mAh battery, which supports 90 W wired fast charging. This allows for quick top-ups, making it a practical option for power users and frequent travellers.
With a slim profile, curved AMOLED display, strong AI integration, and fast charging, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is aiming to stand out in the competitive midrange 5G segment.
Vivo Y400 Pro 5G Price in India and Availability
The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is priced at ₹24,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant comes in at ₹26,999. It’s available in three colours — Freestyle White, Fest Gold, and Nebula Purple.
Pre-orders are currently live on the Vivo India website, and open sales begin on June 27 through Vivo’s official site, Flipkart, Amazon, and select offline retailers.
