WhatsApp continues to grab eyeballs for new features introduction and testing upcoming ones. Another word that gets attention in media reports is artificial intelligence (AI). And it seems the meta-owned app could use this technology to supercharge the sticker-sharing experience on the app. According to WABetaInfo, the company is testing AI-powered stickers on its app.
As per the report, the feature to create AI stickers is rolling out for select beta users on Android build number - 2.23.17.14. The platform adds it will roll out to more users in the future. This update will help users to enhance the messaging experience on the app.
AI Stickers On WhatsApp
In the screengrab shared in the report, a new "create" option is visible on the keyboard within the sticker tab. The "create AI stickers" feature enables a user to describe the sticker a user wants to create. In the demo shared in the screenshot, the app returns output from the prompt: "Cat laughing on a skateboard."
Once generated, a user will be able to share them in conversations. According to the post, these stickers are created via a secure tech from Meta. Users can also report "inappropriate or harmful" content in stickers, as per the report. Further, a recipient may easily comprehend that the content is AI-generated.

AI-generated stickers will help personalise the conversation and chat experience to sprinkle extra engagement. It will allow users to generate stickers without a high level of expertise and simple prompts. To try out AI stickers, it is recommended that beta testers update their WhatsApp to the build stated above and wait for a few days for the feature to roll out.
