X Video And Audio Calls: The Microblogging platform has been adding a lot of features which focus on enhanced connectivity and is now slowly rolling out video and audio calls. X owner Elon Musk has already stated that he wants the platform to be an everything app and announced the feature shortly after it.

However, X video and audio calls were previously confined to iOS users with an X Premium subscription. The corporation has now handed out the update to Android customers. If you don't have the X Premium, you will still be able to make audio calls. Not only that, but you may also choose who can call you. By default, those who follow can contact you.

“Audio and video calls on X slowly rolling out for Android users today! update your app and call your mother,” said Enrique, an engineer at X.

Here are the steps to make an audio call on X.

1. Open your DMs
2. Select chat and click on the phone symbol
3. Select if you want to make an audio or video call by tapping on the icon

After that, the other user will get a notification of you calling. If they don’t wish to answer they will get a missed call notification.

The new X video and audio call feature is expected to be limited to the X Premium users. Users can opt-in for the Premium Basic or X Premium+ users which offer an ad-free experience along with some other features. Do note that the feature is rolling out in a phased manner and if you have not got it, you will get it in the coming days.

Previously, the company has also announced the new affordable business tier subscription which offers a gold badge along with some additional features for small businesses for just $200 per month or $2,000 per year.
