After encountering service disruptions in the United States a few hours ago, YouTube is now back and functioning without any problems. The outage that peaked at 415 reports at 7:46 AM, has now subsided, and the Downdetector graph (that tracks outages of social media apps) is no more red. Outage reports have reduced to 25 at the time of writing.

Users faced problems while streaming videos on the app and website. The graph of Downdetector (an outage monitoring website) peaked at 7:44 AM today with 412 reports. The latest disruption numbers (at 08:14 AM) stand at 352. Among the users facing the issues, 46 per cent reported problems while streaming videos, 32 per cent are facing issues with the app, and 22 per cent are encountering errors on the website.

YouTube Down: Users say 'Can't Search Anything'

According to the website, users are having problems while searching content from the app across devices and playing videos on Android, iPhone and desktop. According to user comments, Texas and New York City are among the affected areas.

"When I try to search something, it says to try different keywords and try filters, when I haven't used any filters," a user wrote on the platform. Several accounts on X also echoed in a similar voice. The prompt reads: "No results found" with accompanying text: Try different keywords or remove search filters." Is YouTube Down In India?

No significant reports of an outage of the video-sharing app were reported in India. We tried watching videos and searching for content on YouTube, and the app worked fine. The problem was probably centred in the United States only.
