YouTube has announced a series of new features for the users along with a few design updates in order to enhance the user experience for the users. The new set of features includes improved audio, better video navigation and more. Here is the full list of features that will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

Audio Control Improvements:

On mobile devices, stable volume is now always on to reduce jarring volume shifts and provide a smoother, more pleasurable viewing experience.

Playback Speed Control:

Users can now quickly switch to 2x playback speed if they like to watch videos at that pace. To restore to the default speed, just press and hold anywhere on the video player when it is in full-screen or portrait mode. The web, tablets, and mobile devices all support this capability.

Bigger Preview Thumbnails for Seeking:

YouTube is offering larger preview thumbnails while searching to make it easier for users to locate certain sections of films quickly. By moving their finger to the starting point and lifting it when they sense a vibration, users can also get back to their starting location.

Lock Screen Feature:

On smartphones and tablets, users can now lock the screen to stop unauthorised disruptions while watching movies.

You Tab:

It is now easier to find all of your YouTube material in one location thanks to the integration of the Library tab and account page into a new "You" tab. Previously seen videos, playlists, downloads, purchases, account-related settings, and channel information can all be found on this tab.

Voice and Song Search:

By listening to, singing, or humming songs, users can find music. In the upcoming weeks, Android smartphones will have access to this capability, which makes use of artificial intelligence to match the sound to the original recording.

Engaging Animations:

Animations on YouTube are being added in response to requests from creators, like "like" or "subscribe." When they interact, viewers will notice visual signals on these buttons that match the video as well as amusing sparkles. Top comments will automatically rotate for easier viewing, and new video uploads will have animations that, for the first 24 hours, show the number of views and likes.

Enhanced Navigation for Smart TVs:

In order to provide rapid access to video data such as the description, comments, and subscribe button, YouTube is implementing a vertical menu on Smart TVs. On the web and mobile, a scrollable description section with a better layout will be accessible.
