Food delivery company Zomato has joined the AI bandwagon with the introduction of the 'Zomato AI' chatbot. The intelligent AI model will assist users in ordering food based on their preferences, needs and moods.
According to Zomato, it has a "multiple agent framework" that equips the model with diverse prompts for a variety of tasks to serve the foodie in you. For instance, it can present a widget with a list of restaurants that serve your favourite dish.

"Unsure about what to order? No problem! Zomato AI can suggest a list of popular dishes or restaurants, taking the guesswork out of your meal selection," Zomato said.
"One of the significant advancements we've made is the creation of numerous functions on Zomato that we are able to expose to our AI agents. This allows the AI agents to dynamically call for whatever data they need in order to best serve the customer query," the blog added.
The in-house technology used by the company is an attempt to offer a "seamless customer experience" and make interaction with "Zomato AI as effortless as a chat with a good friend."
Features of Zomato AI Chatbot
The AI offers a natural tone on texts in multiple messages (which Zomato calls a 'unique feature') and can respond to user queries in real-time. It can help you narrow down on a dish and answer questions that range from "What should I eat when I'm hungover?" to "Can I eat something that is high protein and low carb?"
Zomato AI Availability
The new AI chat model is rolling out exclusively to Zomato Gold Members at the moment. It will be available on the latest version of the Zomato app. It is unclear whether the company will also extend this service for free users later.
