A man was brutally beaten by a group of youngsters in Hyderabad for talking to a woman late at night on the streets of Krishna Nagar on Saturday night. The incident was caught on camera and went viral on social media where it can be seen that a mob was questioning his presence. The police have registered an FIR against the assailants and arrested two of them, while three others are absconding. 

A heated argument ensued and Chandu pushed Lalith’s bike, which angered Lalith’s friends Bhaskar and others. They joined the fray and attacked Chandu with fists, slaps and a wooden stick. Chandu also hit Bhaskar’s head with a stone, injuring him as reported by The Indian Express.

The video of the assault shows Chandu sitting on the road while being surrounded and thrashed by at least six to seven people. In the viral video, Chandu appears helpless and unable to defend himself. The incident took place around 2 am on Sunday and came to light after the video was shared online.

The Jubilee Hills police booked the accused under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with a deadly weapon) and 149 (unlawful assembly with common goal) of the Indian Penal Code.
