Telangana News: A woman was allegedly beaten to death by her husband in Ameenpur town of Telangana’s Sangareddy district on Sunday. Police said the accused, a real estate businessman, attacked his wife with a cricket bat after an argument at their home.

According to officials, the couple had a heated quarrel after the man reportedly accused his wife, who worked as an assistant manager at a co-operative bank, of being unfaithful. During the dispute, he allegedly struck her multiple times, causing her to die on the spot.

Police from Ameenpur station reached the scene soon after being alerted. A murder case has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody. Investigators are now looking into the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.

In separate news, a 42-year-old man from Pune has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife and destroying evidence by burning her body. Police said the accused, Samir Punjabrao Jadhav, was inspired by the Bollywood film Drishyam and carefully planned the crime before pretending his wife had gone missing.

Jadhav, who lived in Shivane with his wife Anjali, their two children, and his mother, often argued with her over suspicions of infidelity. On October 26, he reportedly took her to a rented godown near Gogalwadi Phata, strangled her, and set her body on fire in a kiln he had built weeks earlier. He later dumped the remains in a river.

Police uncovered the truth after reviewing CCTV footage that contradicted Jadhav’s missing complaint. Investigators said he too was having an affair and had misinterpreted messages on his wife’s phone. He is now in custody, and the case is under further investigation.
