Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday forecasted heavy rainfall in multiple districts of Telangana with a yellow alert for moderate to heavy rainfall in place till September 15. According to the latest forecast by the weather department, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely in Hyderabad, Warangal, Jangaon, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy and other districts.

Authorities have advised residents to stay alert and limit their outdoor activities to avoid inconveniences. As the monsoon activity is likely to intensify across the state, the authorities have warned of widespread disruptions.

Telangana Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain To Lash THESE Districts

- According to the latest forecast by IMD, several districts of Telangana, including Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Medak, Siddipet, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medchal, Ranga Reddy, Vikarabad, Yadadri, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Khammam, Mahabubabad and Bhadradri, are expected to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms till September 15.

- An alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for multiple districts of Hyderabad, including Quthbullapur, Alwal, Malkajgiri, Uppal, Kapra, Dammaiguda and Sainikpuri. Hyderabad is expected to witness intensified rainfall activity over the next few hours.

- The city has been witnessing hot and humid conditions throughout the day. However, weather conditions are expected to change with the forecast of heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in place.

Telangana Weather: 7-Day Forecast For Rain And Thunderstorms

- September 11 (Thursday):  Heavy rain, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are likely to occur at Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Medak, Siddipet, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Medchal, and Ranga Reddy.

- September 12 (Friday):  IMD has forecast heavy rainfall in Asifabad, Mancherial, Suryapet, and Mahubabad districts of Telangana.

- September 13 (Saturday):  Warangal, Jangaon, Rangareddy and Hyderabad are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

- September 14 (Sunday): Heavy Rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajigiri, Vikarahad, Mahabubnagar, Nagaikurnool, and Narayanpet districts of Telangana.

September 15 (Monday): Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and lightning are likely to occur in all districts of Telangana.

September 16 & 17 (Tuesday & Monday): According to IMD, light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Telangana. No alert is in place.
