Peacemaker Season 2 New Trailer: Following the massive success of Superman, James Gunn is all set to come up with Peacemaker Season 2. The new trailer starring John Cena was launched at the San Diego Comic-Con. Gunn and Warner Bros. not only launched the second season of Peacemaker but also treated fans with a live performance of the show's theme song for the first time in San Diego. Peacemaker Season 2 New Trailer
John Cena dressed up in full costume as his character Peacemaker to present the trailer launch with showrunner and DC Studios co-president James Gunn and co-stars Jennifer Holland, Frank Grillo, Freddie Stroma, Steve Agee, Sol Rodriguez and Tim Meadows in Hall H.
The trailer showcases Chris Smith, aka Peacemaker (Cena), who travels through a portal to an alternate dimension where “the grass is greener" and where "he can be a real hero." Peacemaker's luck has taken a turn after being rejected by Emilia Harcourt. Seeking a new start, he travels to a new universe, which triggers inter-dimensional chaos. Meanwhile, Grillo’s Rick Flag Sr., head of the mysterious DC Universe company A.R.G.U.S., is in search of Peacemaker, driven by personal revenge as Peacemaker killed his son, Rick Flag Jr (Joel Kinnaman ). The trailer also mentions that he is fighting against his own self from a parallel dimension.
James Gunn On Peacemaker Season 2 Theme Song
Gunn confirmed that Oh Lord by Foxy Shazam would serve as the season's title song. The Peacemaker opening credits included a surprising viral dance sequence in Season 1. The Superman director revealed that they weren’t “trying to overdo it” with the Season 2 opening credits.
“One of the miraculous things about the first season’s opening credits is nobody saw it. People couldn’t believe what they were seeing. It isn’t trying to one-up the first season. It’s bigger, there’s a different vibe to it. New characters, different dancers," he said as quoted by Variety.

New Opening Credits Are a Homage To ‘Dirty Dancing’
Jennifer Holland talked about one of the new dance moves, which is an homage to Dirty Dancing, during the trailer launch. She said, “We have an amazing choreographer who took James’ idea and vibe he was going for and made something special. I had an amazing time doing it. I don’t want to spoil anything but there is one particular thing I requested to the universe: ‘Please allow me to do the lift from “Dirty Dancing.” She also stated that, I' got to do a lift and it’s amazing.”
Peacemaker Season 2 Premiere Date And OTT Platform
After a cameo in Gunn’s Superman, John Cena returned as a Peacemaker three years after the release of season 1 in 2022. Peacemaker Season 2 will premiere on HBO Max on August 21 and will consist of eight episodes.

Pacemaker Season 2 Plot
The new season follows Christopher Chris Smith, aka Peacemaker, on his journey as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost, as per the official logline quoted by Variety.
