After the two successful parts of Avatar, the epic science fiction movie is set to arrive with its third instalment in theatres on December 19, 2025. James Cameron’s directorial movie has been named Avatar Fire And Ash. The trailer of the movie was initially released to the press at Disney's Los Angeles and New York offices on Monday. However, the trailer of the movie will be available to the audience exclusively with The Fantastic Four: First Steps in theatres. Makers have recently introduced the new villain of the alien world.
Who Is Varang In Avatar Fire And Ash?
As per a New York Post report, the makers have introduced the new villain of Avatar 3 named Varang. Game of Thrones fame Oona Chaplin has lent her voice to Varang. The new villain of the movie has been introduced in a spiky red-and-black headdress. As per reports, she is the leader of Mangkwan Clan, also known as Ash People. This is a race of Na’vi that live high up in mountains and around volcanoes. The report further suggests that the trailer shows the new villain, Varang, walking through a hot and gray landscape that is lit by magma.
It also stated, Varang can be seen holding Jake and Neytiri’s daughter Kiri (played by Sigourney Weaver) hostage in the promo, which says “Your goddess has no dominion here.” The reference shows a special connection the girl has to Eywa, a spiritual being. Varang says that either people worship a different god or not.
While sharing a poster of Varang, the makers wrote on Instagram, “Meet Varang in Avatar: Fire and Ash. Be among the first to watch the trailer, exclusively in theaters this weekend with The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Varang’s introduction is the departure for the Avatar franchise, which has far pitted humans against aliens. It will be the Na'vi, who are each other enemies. While talking to Empire, director James Cameron said, “Varang is the leader of a people who have gone through an incredible hardship. She's hardened by that. She will do anything for them, even things that we would consider to be evil.”
