Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk recently responded to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Aravind Srinivas, the CEO of Perplexity AI, which quickly gained attention on social media. Srinivas, who is of Indian origin, had shared that he had been waiting for a green card for three years and asked on the microblogging site, "I think I should get a green card. Wdyt?"
I think I should get a green card. Wdyt?

The Indian-origin CEO’s response received several responses, however, Musk’s response was simple and accurate. In just one word, Musk wrote, “Yes.” Srinivas promptly replied to Musk's message with two emojis: a red heart and folded hands.
A green card, officially called a Permanent Resident Card, is a document that grants an individual the right to live and work permanently in the United States. Holders of a green card are non-citizens who have been legally approved to reside in the country permanently.
This isn't the first time Elon Musk has interacted with Aravind Srinivas. A few days back, Musk responded to Srinivas' comments about his prolonged wait for a US green card. Musk expressed frustration over the U.S. immigration system, stating,"We have an upside-down system that makes it difficult for highly skilled individuals to enter the U.S. legally, while it’s almost effortless for criminals to do so illegally. Why is it easier for a murderer to cross the border unlawfully than for a Nobel Laureate to enter legally? @realDonaldTrump and DOGE will fix this," Musk wrote, referencing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
