Ghaziabad Society Basement Flooded: Housing Development Council filed a case against Prateek Builder in Vijaynagar police station, Ghaziabad after the basement of Prateek Grand Society located in Siddharth Vihar was flooded with sewage water on Friday.

On the complaint of the junior engineer of the council, a case has been registered against builder Prashant Tiwari under sections of risking people's lives, obstruction in government work and damage to properties, reported Jagran Bureau.

Construction work was going on in the basement of Prateek Grand Society, when sewage water spread all around. While digging the pit, the wall of Gangajal plant collapsed and due to damage to the wall of the drain, dirty water of the drain filled the basement of the society.

More than 30 vehicles were parked in the basement when dirty water entered.

Junior Engineer of Housing Development Council Yogendra Kumar Gupta filed a complaint against builder Prashant Tiwari and other unknown individuals.

The council engineer alleged that due to the negligence of builder Prashant Tiwari, the wall of the drain broke and the basement of the project was damaged, causing damage to properties.

ACP Kotwali Ritesh Tripathi said that on the complaint of the junior engineer of Housing Development Council, a case has been registered against the builder and other unknown people and an investigation was being conducted. Action will be taken on the basis of the investigation, he added.
