Greater Noida West-Ghaziabad ROB Update: Commuters travelling between Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad will get relief from the heavy traffic they face with the construction of the Railway Over Bridge (ROB) in the Chapparauli area. Each day, commuters travelling between these two areas face heavy traffic, clogged roads and other problems. As a result, a call for an overbridge was made by the locals.
The Railway Over Bridge was given priority after former Uttar Pradesh Minister Nawab Singh Nagar shared these concerns with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and requested him to resolve it.
The construction of this ROB cost about Rs 84.43 crore, of which the state government was paying Rs 46.18 crore and the Railways Rs 38.25 crore. The work was put on hold since the PWD did not build the approach road, despite the Railways completing the overbridge in 2019.

After almost four years, the Railway Board came up with a new policy to finish the project. Under this approach, it was agreed that the railway administration would be responsible for carrying out the whole construction of the two-lane road overbridge.
Vehicular traffic has been moving smoothly after the overbridge's completion.
The railway crossing will no longer face heavy traffic. After the construction of the overbridge at Chapparola crossing, people may now travel from Greater Noida West to Ghaziabad, Meerut, Saharanpur, and GT Road, as well as to Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr, and Aligarh with ease.
