The Vice-Chairperson of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has directed officials to speed up development works and improve transparency to ensure that residents receive better facilities without inconvenience.
During a review meeting with engineering department officials on Monday, GDA Vice-Chairperson Nand Kishore Kalal called for the development of special software to prepare accurate cost estimates for development projects in a shorter time. He also instructed that a dedicated portal be created for monitoring ongoing works.
To streamline the tender approval process and enhance transparency, the Vice-Chairperson directed that all tender-related proceedings be uploaded on the e-office platform. He emphasised that project estimates must be prepared and submitted within a fixed timeframe starting from the Junior Engineer level, warning that disciplinary action would be taken against any Junior Engineer found delaying the process.
Kalal further instructed officials to finalise clear timelines before initiating any project and ensure strict adherence to schedules. In case of delays, action will be taken against the concerned contractors as per the rules.
During the meeting, officials were also directed to strictly comply with the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) regulations to control pollution during development works.
