A sensation gripped the Bhojpur police station area on Wednesday morning after the body of a 14-year-old boy was discovered in the forest near Kanakpura village. The victim, who had been missing for two days, was brutally murdered, and his face was smashed with a brick to prevent identification.
Discovery And Identification
Farmers heading to their fields early in the morning spotted the body and immediately alerted the police. The victim’s face had been badly disfigured with a brick, making initial identification difficult.
Following a police investigation, the deceased was identified as 14-year-old Himanshu, a resident of Kanakpura, Bhojpur. He worked for a property dealer on Pilkhuwa Road.
Himanshu had been missing since Monday afternoon. A missing person's report had been filed by his family at the Pilkhuwa police station in Hapur, which was already investigating his disappearance.
Crime Scene Details
The perpetrators attempted to destroy evidence and conceal the victim's identity:
- Location: The body was dumped in the forest of Mukimpur village.
- Brutality: The accused allegedly smashed Himanshu's face with a brick after the murder.
- Evidence Destruction: The victim's clothes were found burnt in the forest.
- Weapon: The brick used in the crime was recovered near a tubewell.
Suspects And Investigation
According to the family and villagers, two youths from the same village had taken Himanshu with them on Monday afternoon under a false pretext. The family has named these youths as prime suspects in the murder.
Upon receiving the information, senior police officials rushed to the scene. A forensic team was called in to collect evidence from the site. The motive behind the murder remains unclear at this stage.
Police are investigating the case from multiple angles and have intensified the search for the accused youths.
