Noida Jewar Airport Flight Tickets: Flights taking off from Noida International Airport, also known as the Jewar Airport are likely to see cheaper ticket prices than those from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. In a major boost to the aviation sector in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s govt has reduced the VAT on aviation turbine fuel (ATF to just 1 per cent, a significant contrast to Delhi’s 25 per cent VAT. The Jewar Airport is set to start commercial flight operations on April 17, 2025.

Jewar Airport: Affordable Airfares For Passengers

-This move is anticipated to lower operational costs for airlines, which in turn will lead to more affordable airfares for passengers. With preparations underway for the opening of Jewar Airport, this strategic decision positions the airport to become a competitive player in the aviation industry.

-According to the experts, the reduced VAT will be a game-changer, as fuel costs are a major part of an airline’s operational expenses. The reduced rates will help make flights from Jewar more affordable, as per a News 18 report.

AERA To Soon Begin Discussions On Fares

-The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA) is expected to soon begin discussions on fare structures for Jewar Airport. These guidelines will set the pricing for operations, further defining Jewar Airport’s competitiveness.

-Once operational, Jewar Airport is set to become the largest in northern India, offering an alternative to the crowded IGI airport. It is expected to ease congestion in the Delhi-NCR region and provide passengers with more convenient and affordable travel options.

-The runway at Jewar Airport is approximately 3.9 kilometres long. Initially, 30 flights, comprising 25 domestic, three international and two cargo services, will operate daily. These services will connect 25 cities of the country directly to Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

-Bookings for international flights to destinations such as Singapore, Dubai and Zurich will open 90 days prior, while domestic ticketing will commence six weeks before the inauguration.
