The Yamuna Authority on Monday carried out a major demolition drive on notified land in the villages of Dayanatpur and Sabauta in Jewar. The authority's team demolished illegal plotting and unauthorised construction on a 60-metre road in Dayanatpur and Sabauta villages, clearing 1,00,000 square metres of land.
Officials issued a warning, stating that an FIR will be registered against those involved in developing illegal colonies and carrying out unauthorised construction on the authority's land and in the notified area. The drive to demolish illegal constructions will also continue.
Yamuna Authority's Special Officer, Shailendra Singh, stated that colonisers had illegally plotted and constructed on 1,00,000 square metres of land in the notified area and along the 60-metre road leading to the airport in the villages of Dayanatpur and Sabauta in Jewar.
On Monday, under the direction of Chief Executive Officer Rakesh Kumar Singh, action was taken to demolish illegal plotting being carried out by Aero Green City on Khasra number 463 in Dayanatpur village, within the Yamuna Authority's notified area, and unauthorised construction on the 60-metre road leading to the airport.
Unauthorised construction on Khasra numbers 447 and 448 in Sabauta Mustafabad village was also demolished, clearing land valued at Rs 400 crore of illegal structures. Additional Chief Executive Officer Rajesh Kumar, Authority Deputy District Magistrate Hari Pratap, Shivautar Singh, Tehsildar Manoj Kumar Singh, and Jewar Kotwali Inspector Sanjay Singh were present at the scene with police personnel during the operation.
