The Kanpur Municipal Corporation has announced that 309 development works worth around Rs 13 crore will be carried out from its funds. Tenders for these works were invited on August 26. Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar has directed officials to ensure that the projects begin by September without delay.

Chief Engineer Syed Farid Akhtar Zaidi informed that the works will include the construction and repair of lanes, footpaths, and roads.

Major projects include:

  • Road improvement from Durga Temple to Babu Prasad Hospital in Koyla Nagar – Rs 9.97 lakh
  • Hotmix plant near Parade Square PPN Market – Rs 9.90 lakh
  • Road improvement from E-462 to E-408 in Panki – Rs 9.51 lakh
  • Road improvement from E-205 to E-209 in Panki – Rs 9.69 lakh
  • Construction and repair of urinals near Maniram Bagiya and Kahu Kothi Naughad – Rs 4.66 lakh
  • Improvement of streets at Khoya Bazaar, Roti Wali, and Gaya Prasad Lane – Rs 9.47 lakh

The Municipal Commissioner has stressed that all tendered works must be completed and initiated by September.
