In a significant step to enhance job opportunities for youth, the Uttar Pradesh government has organised a two-day Kaushal Mahotsav (Skill Festival) at the Colvin Taluqdars' College campus, Lucknow. Starting from September 16, the festival is set to offer job opportunities to around 40,000 youths.
The registration process for the festival is underway, with interested youths to register online via the Skill India website: www.nsdcjobx.com. The festival is organised in collaboration with the Skill Development Department and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship. More than 80 companies from across the country and the state will participate in the festival, offering job opportunities in over 30 sectors.

These include automobile, retail, healthcare, IT, banking, electronics, tourism, and agriculture, along with 11 government companies that will be recruiting for apprenticeships.
Officials from the Skill Development Department claim that upon selection based on interviews and educational qualifications, a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 will be offered to the candidates.
The festival is set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Jayant Chaudhary.

Job opportunities will be provided in more than 20 sectors by over 100 companies and institutions. On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday, more than 7,500 young people in the capital alone will be provided with employment opportunities.
