Lucknow Traffic Advisory: Major Diversions Announced Ahead Of Kanshi Ram Memorial Event | Details

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will organise a programme on Thursday to pay floral tributes at the Kanshi Ram Memorial on Old Jail Road, Lucknow, to mark the 19th death anniversary (Parinirvan Divas) of party founder Kanshi Ram. The event is expected to draw a crowd of approximately 5 lakh people.

The police have prepared extensive security and traffic arrangements for the occasion. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Kamlesh Dixit said that emergency vehicles, including ambulances, fire engines, hearses, and school vehicles, will be exempted from the diversions.

Traffic Diversion Details:

-Vehicles from Kanpur Road, Alambagh, and Para will be redirected via Badnam Laddu Marg, Alambagh Chauraha, and Piccadilly, as they will not be allowed to proceed from Geetapalli Mod towards Bangla Bazar crossing or the memorial.

-Vehicles from Bangla Bazar Pul Chauraha heading to the memorial, Geetapalli Mod, or Pakri Pul will be diverted via Baudh Vihar, Bangla Bazar Police Chowki, Kila Chauraha, and Fateh Ali Talab.

-Vehicles from Charbagh and KKC approaching Jail House Chauraha and Bangla Bazar from Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha will be sent via Fateh Ali Talab, Chhappan Chauraha, and Cariappa Chauraha.

-Vehicles from Cariappa Chauraha towards Jail House and the memorial via Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha will be redirected via Telibagh, Utrethiya, and Shaheed Path.

-Traffic from Fateh Ali Talab towards Jail House and Bangla Bazar will be sent via Alambagh Tedhi Puliya, Kunwar Jagdish Chauraha, and Cariappa Chauraha.

-Vehicles from Rae Bareli Road and Telibagh Pul towards Bangla Bazar Pul will be diverted via Telibagh Bazar, Subhani Khera, and Cariappa Chauraha.

-Vehicles from Subhani Khera Chauraha and Ganna Anusandhan Tiraha will also be redirected via Cariappa Chauraha.

A three-tier security system will be implemented, comprising police personnel, the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), and the Home Guard. The Rapid Action Force (RAF) will remain on standby. 

Fire safety measures include a fire brigade team stationed at the venue with a fire engine. Security personnel will also be deployed at railway stations, bus stands, and all major routes leading to the memorial.

Authorities have urged citizens to follow traffic diversions and cooperate with security personnel to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
