The 594 km-long Ganga Expressway, an access-controlled highway running from Meerut to Prayagraj, is moving closer to completion, with major construction milestones already achieved. 

To ensure safety and prevent the entry of people and animals, a security wall is being constructed on both sides of the expressway, between the main carriageway and the service road.

Officials have confirmed that work on the first package, a 137 km stretch from Meerut to Badaun, is nearing completion and is scheduled to be finished by October 11. The subsequent three phases of the expressway are expected to be completed by November.

Rakesh Kumar, Project Officer of the Ganga Expressway’s Project Implementation Unit (PIU), stated that the security wall is being built along the entire length of the expressway, from Meerut to Prayagraj, as part of measures to enhance safety on this high-speed, access-controlled route.
