The Belipar police on Friday arrested two wanted men, Sudhir Kumar and Dharamveer (also known as Chillu), for cheating hundreds of people out of crores of rupees in a property scam.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) had previously announced a Rs 10,000 reward for the capture of each of them. The arrested men were identified as Sudhir Kumar from the Gola area and Dharamveer from Belipar.
According to the police, the duo had opened fake offices named 'DD Enterprises' and 'DD Finance Service' in Belipar. They would lure people by promising to get them land and houses at prices much lower than the market rate. After collecting crores of rupees from many victims, they shut down their offices and fled to Mumbai.
