Noida International Airport Project Update: Work on Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar is progressing rapidly. Noida International Airport (NIAL) and Yamuna International Airport Limited (YIAPL) are carrying the inspection of the airport. As per reports, the work of the airport will be completed by May end and flights will likley begin operating in the first week of June. Gautam Buddh Nagar DM Manish Kumar Verma inspected the construction work of the airport on Tuesday.

DM Manish Kumar Verma reached Noida Airport for inspection on Tuesday. The DM inspected the construction work of 8 km long 30 metre wide emergency road being prepared by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for the airport. The DM reviewed the work done so far by NHAI regarding road construction and directed the authorities to expedite the work. He further instructed the NHAI officials to complete the work within the stipulated time.
Big Project For UP Government
The airport, a marquee project for the UP government, is being developed by YIAPL, a fully-owned subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG. YIAPL is also the operator of the airport over a 40-year concession period that started on October 1, 2021.
The first phase of the airport was initially set to be operational by September 29, 2024, but the dates were later revised to April 17 this year.
