A restaurant owner was arrested after a woman in Noida claimed that she ordered veg biryani during Navratra using Swiggy but was delivered a non-veg biryani instead. The woman named Chhaya Sharma took to social media and shared a video in which she claimed the non-veg biryani was intentionally sent to her. She broke down in the video, speaking about her experience.

The restaurant is named Lucknowi Kabab Parantha near Amrapali building in Greater Noida's Sector 2.

In her video, Sharma tearfully said that she had ordered a veg biryani from a restaurant named Lucknowi Kabab Paratha in Sector 2 (Bisrakh) via Swiggy. When she received her order, she took a couple of bites before she realised she was eating non-veg biryani.

Asserting that she was sent non-veg biryani during Navratri, she said, "I am a pure vegetarian woman, and they have sent me this non-veg biryani during Navaratri."

The video was widely circulated online. Chhaya claimed that the non-veg biryani was sent intentionally to her. Chhaya said, "This is intentional. Whoever did this has done it intentionally. How can they send non-veg when I ordered veg biryani?"

The video was shared across social media platforms and has garnered widespread attention, with some expressing outrage.

Noida Police also took cognisance of the video and arrested the restaurant owner. On social media, however, some also questioned the arrest of the restaurant owner over a probable mistake.

The arrest of the restaurant owner was informed by Noida's Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). In a video post on X, he said an interrogation would be conducted. After that, further investigation would take place.

Currently, there is no clarity on whether the non-veg biryani was delivered by mistake or deliberately.
