Greater Noida News: In a rising case of social media-driven stunts, a YouTuber attempted to climb a mobile tower in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida, resulting in a tense five-hour rescue operation by the local police. The YouTuber, identified as Nileshwar and known by his online handle "Nileshwar22," undertook this stunt to gain viewership and social media fame. Accompanied by a friend who was filming the stunt for a live stream, Nileshwar climbed the tower in Tigri village, while his partner remained below to capture the event.

However, when local residents noticed the dangerous activity and approached the scene, Nileshwar's friend, startled by the growing crowd, fled the scene, leaving Nileshwar stranded atop the tower. As the crowd gathered to observe the unfolding drama, the police arrived and faced a challenging task in help Nileshwar to descend safely.

After five hours of concerted effort and coordination, the police were able to successfully bring Nileshwar down from the tower. Authorities have strongly cautioned individuals against engaging in such risky stunts solely for the purpose of gaining online popularity, and have initiated an inquiry into the incident.

In a separate incident, police in Pune have arrested a woman and her friend for a dangerous stunt where the former dangled from the roof of a building for a social media video. The two individuals were identified as Minakshi Salunkhe, 23 and Mihir Gandhi, 27, with a third person who was filming the video reported to be absconding.

According to an IANS report, the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station was able to trace the duo after a video of their perilous stunt goes viral on social media. The footage shows Salunkhe dangling from the top of a high-rise building, with Gandhi lying on the roof to support her.
