Preparations are in full swing for the proposed 750 km high-speed expressway connecting Panipat to Gorakhpur, with work expected to start by March. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has nearly finalised the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the corridor, which will undergo a review with senior Uttar Pradesh government officials before final approval.

Once completed, the expressway will pass through 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh, making it the state’s longest expressway. It will be access-controlled, with limited entry and exit points, and construction will be executed in approximately ten packages across the state.
